ICOCN会议( International Conference on Optical Communications and Networks )自2002年来,已经成功举办17届,是光通信及光网络领域最大的国际论坛之一。
第17届国际光通信与光网络会议(ICOCN2018)由中山大学、暨南大学、澳门科技大学主办,于2018年11月16-19日在广东珠海召开。我中心邹卫文教授因多年从事光电子方面的研究工作,受邀参加此次会议,并作了题为“Proposal and Research Trends of Photonic Time-Stretch Coherent Radar”的会议报告。

We have previously proposed a photonic time-stretched coherent radar (PTS-CR) with central-frequency programmable and bandwidth-tailorable agility. The sampling bandwidth in the reception was essentially compressed by the photonic time-stretched process. However, there are several issues to be solved in the PTS-CR. In this talk, we demonstrate some research trends of the PTS-CR. First, the reception aperture suffering dead zone is simply tuned by adjusting of the center wavelength of an optical filter. Second, the enlargement of the measurement range is realized by use of a photonic switch in the transmitter. Third, operation of PTS-CR at W band with 12-GHz instantaneous bandwidth is enabled by optimization of the signal-to-noise ratio of the time-stretch receiver.
